Almost 70000 qualified in WB-JEE: is the examination is so Easy

Almost 70,000 students qualified among 1,00000 appeared in WB-JEE -2009 examination.Cutoff marks has been reduced to make most of the students included in merit list .Just like previous year in this year also there is no girls in top 10 merit list in Engineering as well as in Medical.Tuesday on declaration of results chairman prof.Sidhartha Dutta said -among 1 lacs 718 students appeared and 168 students qualified in WB-JEE examination.Total Number of seats including Universities,Govt.Engineering colleges,private engineering colleges are 20,077(may be increase to 5000 more in this year).

Counselling for first phase will be on 5-22 July 2009
Second phase counselling will be 1-3 August 2009
3rd phase counselling will be on 13,14,16 August 2009
Students from other states will not be allowed to get admitted in Govt.Colleges.
For private colleges 80% seats will be filled from merit lists of WB-JEE.
10% seats from AIEEE Merit list
10% seats from management co ta.

From 10Th June successful candidates will be able to download rank cards from websites.
